Training
Ann Reed is an experienced trainer in providing courses on the European Structural Funds including European Social Fund and European Regional Development Fund.
Diploma in Management Studies, Master of Business Administration (Part 1), Certificate in Education (Further Education), Training Development Lead Body D32/D33. Ann Reed has participated in an Interviewer Training Course delivered by Keele University on behalf of the Greater London Authority.
She has since been working for Keele University on a Survey "Attitudes to Old Age and Inter-Generational Conflict". Whilst working at City College, Handsworth she has been involved in a variety of professional training events with several Examination Boards and also participated in equal opportunities and counselling training.
Experience
Ann Reed has delivered courses on the European Structural Funds including European Social Fund and European Regional Development Fund, in ESF Co-financing and in bid writing and other fundraising skills.
Ann Reed works for the National Centre for Social Research as an interviewer on research projects including The Health Survey for England, Social and Resource Influences on Eating Habits and the Arrestee Study.
Ann Reed has conducted reviews of SRB (Single Regeneration Budget) Programmes and has conducted community based development work for SRB Programmes.
Ann Reed has worked with a wide variety of 'not for profit' organisations in both rural and urban areas. With these organisations she has prepared Feasibility Studies, Business Plans and successful applications for funding for example to the Community Fund, ESF Co-financing, Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and to a wide variety of Grant Making Trusts.
Ann Reed was employed by Birmingham City Council for 19 years. She initially worked as a Holiday Play Scheme Leader and Youth Leader and then managed a Youth Training Scheme for 200 young people who were "disadvantaged". Whilst employed at Handsworth College she worked with young people who have learning and physical difficulties. She has also worked with young people who were sponsored by the City Council Modern Apprenticeship Scheme on their employer's premises at the Council House. Whilst working in Further Education she has liaised closely with other professionals including the Careers Service. Ann Reed has also worked closely with employers, working on their premises as well as working with students who have attended college. Ann Reed has demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills both with students, colleagues and employers. Ann Reed is a trainer with Positive Parenting.
