SOCIAL INCLUSION

We specialise in working with marginalised communities and in working cross culturally. We believe that everyone should have equal opportunities for employment and access to services. Reed Consultancies is keen to work with organisations that promote social inclusion and which work to end poverty.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY

We have a great deal of experience of providing support to Third Sector Organisations we can prepare feasibility studies and business plans but we prefer to support Senior Staff of organisations in preparing their own operational documents. We also carry out strategic reviews.

SOCIAL RESEARCH

We design and carried out market research projects for Third Sector Organisations to test out new ideas and to establish the feasibility of new projects and new approaches. Ann Reed works with the National Centre of Social Research and has carried out contract work on Child of the Century, English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, Survey of English Housing, British Social Attitudes, Health Survey for England and Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Study.

ADVOCACY

We want to enable people to speak up for themselves, whether they are children, adults with learning difficulties or people from marginalised communities. We have carried out contract work for Social Services on the National Assessment Framework for Children in Need; we have led projects on "listening to children".

CHILDREN'S RIGHTS

We have carried out an investigation for a Local Authority that considered employing a Children's Rights Officer. This came out of a study of the needs of children in a County and the views and attitudes of the professionals who work with them. Reed Consultancies is firmly committed to the concept of Children's Rights and is keen to be involved in this area.
